OMG is all we have to say! We we so pumped when we found out this place was open!

If you love raw and vegan food then this is a place you must check out! Raw Eatery & Market is located in the heart of Kensington Village in Calgary, Alberta at 1145 Kensington Crescent, NW. Owners Ali Magee and Megan Pope have developed a truly divine menu that is sure to satisfy your raw cravings.

The menu includes breakfast items, since they open at 8:00 AM, the essential mains such as linguine, the broken burrito, stuffed avocado, a raw curry veggie dish, salads and even raw sweet treats.

Today we will review the The Linguine dish from the essentials menu. This raw dish is bursting with fresh flavours, and in our opinion, much better than any cooked linguine dish you will ever eat.

The Linguine is light, tasty and made with the best ingredients including raw parsnips and carrots as the raw noodles that are sliced to simulate flat pasta noodles. The crunch of the raw noodles gives this dish a nice consistency when paired with the Brazil nut "mozza" sauce. This sauce has a hint of garlic and is so good you will want to lick the plate when you're done. The linguine is served with chickpea balls that make the perfect companion to the linguine noodles. The chickpea balls are smothered in a roasted red pepper sauce that adds a nice zest to the dish.

We are ecstatic that Raw Eatery & Market has opened its doors in Calgary as the plant-based restaurant market in this city is severely unsaturated.
