More Fun Than Anyone! Funtastic Fridays With The Veggie Babes

Happy Friday! Another week has gone by and it is time to focus on getting more fun and happiness into our lives!

We have gone over some pretty good tools to make into habits, and here is another one! What!?! More daily rituals? Yes! ...This could by far be the most important one yet! Get excited and get ready for ... wait for it... Gratitude!

You ask how this could be so important? Do I need to be religious or spiritual? No! You just need to be you. You can just be fabulous you and add a little gratitude and bam! Get regular with this and watch the fun and happiness unfold! No joke!

First, let's get real for a moment. Being grateful isn't always easy. Things happen that we do not like and have a difficult time coping with.

Allow yourself some time to digest these things and feel the pain. It is an essential step, but it is also essential to take the next step out of this state. It can be a big step, but take it. You must as it is also a part of the process. Feel the pain and then let it go.

You might have a few steps to take to leave the trauma behind, that's ok! Just keep taking them.

So how do we get to this gratitude thing? How do we do it? Is it different if you are stepping away from something unfortunate? What if I don't have anything unfortunate? Do I need a pen and paper? Will I need to get anything? Do I need to set aside MORE time?

We have good news!!!! This is so easy and the same process no matter where you are in life. You can make it as simple as needing nothing but your amazing self!

Here it is.

That's it. Find at least one thing to be grateful for every day. Then when you are lying in bed, before you fall asleep, feel the happiness that one (or more) thing(s) brought to you. Really feel the joy and be thankful for it.

And done!

That's it? Yes, it can be as simple as that. We will confess that the more you do this the more effective it is, but it can really be that simple.

Doing this daily is the minimum, but you can take it further. Want to embrace this idea more? Cool, we can help you do that too.

Here are a few ideas to take this life changing thing a little further...

How to further get your Gratitude on:

1. Be on the lookout for things to be thankful and joyous about and when you find them, feel it. Really feel the joy and be thankful for it every chance you get. Awesome things are everywhere! It takes seconds!

The smile from a stranger, the sweet thing someone did for you, the few moments alone to reflect, another day with a loved one, the roof over your head, the food on your table, the ability to speak and the list goes on. There is always something to get excited about, you just have to do it!

2. Get a Gratitude Book! Call it whatever you want. It could be as simple as a pad of paper to a special book that is for this purpose only. Now write everything you are thankful for every day. Everything.

Whatever medium you choose is up to you. Book, smart phone, tablet, computer, typewriter - whatever your heart desires, just start writing!

3. You can take the first step or leap into it. Make it simple or add on, as long as you do it, it is perfect.

4. And as always... Big or small, celebrate it all!
